Danila Dilba Health Service is a not for profit organisation incorporated under the Corporations (Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander) Act 2006 (CATSI Act).
DDHS’ purpose is to improve the physical, mental, spiritual, cultural and social wellbeing of the Biluru community of the Yilli Rreung region by providing innovative comprehensive primary health care programs, community services and advocacy that are based on the principles of equity, access, empowerment, community self-determination and collaboration. It is accountable to its members, clients and stakeholders.
The DDHS Board is required to meet every three months. It is scheduled to meet in 2021 on the following dates:
- Friday 12 February
- Friday 14 May
- Friday 25 June (reserve to be used if required)
- Friday 20 August
- Friday 29 October
- Friday 19 November (reserve to be used if required)
An Annual General Meeting must be held every year by the end of November.
