Interpreters for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander languages can be sourced from a number of organisations in the Northern Territory. Below a number of these organisations are listed with some information on the services they provide. Information on Auslan interpreters for the hearing impaired is also included.
Aboriginal Interpreter Service
The Aboriginal Interpreter Service in the NT has about 30 interpreters on staff covering the major languages of the NT.
ARDS Aboriginal Corporation
Providing linguists and Indigenous language workers that develop a range of language resources, and also provide high quality translation services. Primarily specialising in Yolngu Matha languages from north-east Arnhem land.
Aboriginal Broadcasting Australia
Can provide access to a range of interpreters for production of media messages in a wide variety of Aboriginal languages.

Sign language interpreter service for clients who are deaf or hearing impaired.
